Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)- Behavior is a systematic and data-driven framework that helps schools and districts build their capacity to implement or to advance their practices in establishing an equity-based, Multi-Tiered System of Support for inclusive instruction and improved academic, behavior, and social-emotional outcomes for ALL students.
MTSS is the framework that drives a range of services in the area of behavior such as Restorative Practices (RP), Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Interconnected Systems Framework (ISF). Strong MTSS frameworks ensure appropriate organizational systems, processes, and procedures are in place to create safe, positive school climates as well as providing intervention opportunities for all children.
